Donna Martin developed Psoma Yoga out of her extensive work with Ron Kurtz and her forty year experience as a yoga teacher.
The practice of Psoma Yoga begins with our connection within, and then our connection with each other.
The body and mind, being one, are constantly in movement of contraction and expansion, and this movement is woven with sensation, images and ultimately core beliefs that get activated in relationship. Yoga becomes a practice of noticing how we are bodily, and shifting from within by being aware of differences created as we move with new awareness.
Our deeper struggles are relational, and many core relational issues are preverbal and highly subtle. Our exploration of subtle patterns through movement and asana begins to awaken us to the patterning, and then opportunity to complete missing experiences and receive nourishment from others and our world.
